Plot
How Trial By Fire is different from other shows in the genre
The compelling drama drives the feeling similar to shows like Chernobyl and Dope Sick. Which also deals with horrid real-life tragedies gave us both the macro and large investigation story. And the micro lens of average people affected by it. Instead in its approach Trial By Fire refused to tell the more enticing accessible digestible version of a difficult story. But instead chose a more meditative approach to take us inside the hearts and minds of regular people pushed to astonishing bravery in the wake of a painful atrocity.
Nonetheless, Trial By Fire remains an achievement in portraying the pain of humanity and ultimately bravery. Makes you wonder, what the real tragedy is. What a horrid thing happened and people died or that getting justice for those people takes decades and bears little result.
Conclusion
We haven’t seen it quite like this an immensely well-crafted incredibly sensitive heart-wrenching portrait of grief and loss. Trial By Fire chooses to keep the victims and their humanity at the center of its narrative without dramatizing the subject matter into something particularly binge-able.
Urgent series aims to shed light on the fact that justice isn’t always a basic right. But often a soul-crushing uphill battle with no end in sight, especially within a system that favors those with money and power.
