OTT Movies in January 2023: The lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic has drastically changed the way the entertainment industry functions. Apart from theatres, films that used to rely on satellite and home video rights now have another medium of distribution in the form of streaming platforms. OTT platforms which started as an alternative system are now becoming a necessity. This is the reason why gradually the number of films releasing directly in the OTT space is increasing. After the theatrical release, films are coming on OTT, now big films are also being launched directly on digital platforms. Many such films came in the year 2022 and this trend will continue in 2023 as well.

Here are the list of OTT movies in January 2023
2023 OTT release will start with Siddarth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandhana`s film ‘Mission Majnu’. This is the first big film of 2023, which is being released directly on OTT. This is a period spy film directed by Shantanu Bagchi, in which Siddharth will be seen spying against Pakistan by becoming a RAW agent. Supporting star cast includes Kumud Mishra, Parmeet Sethi, Mir Sarwar and Zakir Hussain. Earlier on January 6, Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Uunchai’ would stream on ZEE5.
However, it is not a direct-to-OTT release. Height has been released in theaters and has also completed its journey of 50 days. Punjabi comedy film Baba Bhangra Ponde Ne is also releasing on ZEE5 on 6th January itself, in which Diljit Dosanjh and Sargun Mehta are in lead roles.
The English film The Pale Blue Eye will be streamed on January 23 only on Netflix. It is a thriller mystery film. Christian Bale, Harry Melling and Gillian Anderson play the lead roles in the Scott Cooper-directed film. Dogs will be the first popular release of the year 2023 in theatres. Vishal Bhardwaj’s son Aasman Bhardwaj is about to debut as a filmmaker with this film. Aasman has directed the film. Dogs is a comedy action thriller film and many great actors are going to be seen in important roles. These include Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Radhika Madan and Kumud Mishra. However, The film is produced by Vishal Bhardwaj, Luv Ranjan and Bhushan Kumar.
