In 2017, in an interview with a media outlet, Nawazuddin Siddiqui had revealed that he has faced rejections several times due to ‘racist people’ in industry. Now in a recent interview, When he was asked whether he has overcome the problems faced by color in the industry. To this the actor said, ‘If they need white people, they need me too. At present i am in demand. Black colored people are in great demand these days. The beauty that a camera can capture is very different. It`s an honest kind of beauty. If i am honest in front of the camera, the audience will not realize and i will also look beautiful.”

Taking his point forward, Nawazuddin also praised two Bollywood actresses. The actor said, ‘Look at Rinku Rajguru in Sairat. Despite not being fair, her presence in the film starts mesmerizing you after few minutes. I actually said at one point while watching the film, this girl is so beautiful. I honestly believe that the camera has not captured the beauty of Samita Patil like any other Indian actress. According to me she was the most beautiful actress in front of the camera. I think on-screen beauty is very different from real world beauty..’
