Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is in limelight because of her upcoming film ‘Emergency’. According to the sources, recently the actress has sought permission from the Lok Sabha secretariat to shoot her film in the Parliament. A source in this regard said that her letter in under consideration, but it is unlikely to be allowed. In a statement on the movie, Kangana stated, “Emergency” depicts one of the most significant moments in Indian political history. Which altered how we see power. For this reason, I chose to portray the narrative.

Her letter says that, ‘She should be allowed to shoot a film based on Emergency inside the Parliament complex. Talking about this the source said that normally, private entities are not allowed to do shooting or videography inside the Parliament complex. If it is being done for some official work then it is different matter. Mainly Doordarshan and Sansad TV are allowed to shoot programs or events inside Parliament. There is no precedent of anyone being allowed to shoot inside Parliament for personal work.

She will be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who imposed Emergency in the country in 1975. Talking about this film, Kangana said in a statement, ‘Emergency’ reflects one of the most important periods in Indian political history, which changed the way we look at power and hence i decided to tell the story. Talking about Kangana`s work front, she was earlier seen in the film ‘Dhaakad’. Although her film proved to be flopped at the box office. Talking about her upcoming projects, the actress will also be seen in ‘Tejas’ after ‘Emergency’.
