Just Now In: Diljit Dosanjh is to be seen without turban for the first time on screen in his upcoming movie “Jogi”

Diljit Dosanjh is one of the finest star in Punjabi cinema and Bollywood industry. He has done some of the masterpiece role in movies like Udta Punjab, Phillauri, Good Newz etc. Now he will be seen in OTT platform on Netflix. The actor will be seen in ihis upcoming movie “Jogi”. The movie is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, it is all set to be out on Netflix on September 16.


Today Netflix organised  a event called ‘Netflix Films Day’ where they announced about their upcoming films in presence of its actors and directors. The trailer of Jogi was launched on this occasion, and presented exclusively here to the members of the media by Ali Abbas Zafar. The producers of the movie are Himanshu Mehra and Amyra Dastur.

As the trailer released it has come to light that Diljit Dosanjh will be seen without turban is a major part of the film. This movie is based on anti-sikh riots of 1984. Doing the role in the film without turban is to hide his Sikh identity in this film. This is the first time when Diljit Dosanjh will be seen without turban in a film. In fact Diljit himself said in a interview that,”My most favouritr directors from Bollywood have offered me films which i cannot do because they want me to do it without turban and that is not possible. He further said turban is my identity, it is my emotion.”

However, Diljit Joined the event through a video call while he was in London, said that Jogi ia an important story from our pages of history. Hence it is completely understandable why the actor decided to change his rule. People are excited to see the movie and his actor new look.
