In February this year, Shashi Kapoor’s grandson Jahaan Kapoor made his film debut with the Hansal Mehta-directed thriller Faraaz. Based on a true story, the film also starred Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal in the lead role alongside Jahaan. Now, this film is coming on the OTT platform. ‘Faraj’ was released on 3 February. It received mixed reviews from critics. The performances of Jahan and Aditya were highly appreciated.

Jahan gave this information on Thursday through social media. As per Jahan’s post, Faraaz will be streamed on Netflix on 30th March i.e. tonight at 11.30 PM, which means OTT subscribers can add Faraaz to their watchlist for this weekend. What is the story of ‘Faraj’?
‘Faraj’ is the story of one night, which brings on-screen different aspects of a terrorist incident that took place on 1st July 2016 in Dhaka. In a café in Dhaka, the terrorists had murdered and kidnapped numerous innocent people. A young man then confronted the terrorists without fear. The innocents’ lives were then saved. Jahan plays the role of this young man Faraj, while Aditya Rawal plays the role of the terrorists’ leader.

Together with Jahaan and Aditya, Juhi Babbar, Aamir Ali, Sachin Lalwani, Palak Lalwani, and Resham Sahani also play significant roles in the movie. The film is produced by Anubhav Sinha in association with T-Series. Before its theatrical release, a screening of the film was held in Mumbai, which was attended by the entire Kapoor clan. Jahaan is the son of Kunal Kapoor. The screening was also attended by Randhir Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan, and Navya Naveli Nanda.
Several films that were released in theaters this year have been streamed on OTT, including Pathan, Warisu, and Dogs. ‘Pathan’ and ‘Warisu’ are out on Prime Video. Whereas, Dogs is on Netflix. There are reports of ‘Shehzada’ also streaming on Netflix this weekend.
