In today super hero verses, where we can’t tolerate a solo movie without the connections with some past series of films, Black Adam openly claims to connect the DC universe. In the same timeline as of Justice League society. According to the makers, Black Adam was supposed to make an appearance in Shazam 2, as an Anti-Hero. Later, it seemed a bad choice to introduce such humongous personality of Dwayne Johnson to make an appearance in a movie only to lose in the final battle. So, to give the character clarity, the makers are giving Black Adam its own origins movie to display his mighty.
