Akshay Kumar is giving up his Canadian citizenship
Talking about his citizenship during the interview, Akshay said that India is everything for him. Whatever I have achieved, I have done so. I am fortunate that I got a chance to do something for the country. Akshay told during the interview that at one point of time more than 15 of his films had flopped, this was the reason that inspired him to take Canadian citizenship.
He said, “I thought my films are not doing and I have to do one thing. I went there for work. My friend was in Canada and he said come here. After which I applied and got citizenship.” ” He said, “I just had two films left to release. Luckily both became superhits. My friend told me to go back and start working again. After that I kept getting work. I forgot that I had I have a Canadian passport. Never thought of replacing this passport, but now I have applied for replacement.”

Talking about the work front, Akshay will soon be seen in Selfie. Emraan Hashmi is also going to be seen with him in this film. Directed by Raj Mehta, the film is all set to hit the theaters on February 24. Let us tell you that last year was not good for Akshay Kumar.
