Akshay Kumar is facing a hard time at the box office. With his back-to-back flop movies at the box office, Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, and Rakshabandhan, his latest OTT movie Cutputli did exceptionally well. With a budget of 150 crores, Khiladi Kumar took 80% of it, and that is 120 crores.
Earlier when the question came up about the pattern of his movies failing at the box office, Akshay replied that ‘If my films are not performing, it is our fault. It is my fault. I have to make the required changes, I have to analyze what the audience wants. I want to dismantle the way I think and what kind of films I should sign. Nobody else is to be blamed but me.’
Swara Bhaskar: I don’t agree with Akshay Kumar
Not agreeing with the Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, the actress Swara Bhaskar said, ‘We are storytellers and we should tell stories in an honest way. I think the industry should try not to make itself a platform for propaganda and narratives. Bollywood is intangible, and there could never be a singular voice coming out of the Bollywood industry. And that’s the amazing part of it… I don’t agree with Akshay Kumar because of the kind of films he supports but that doesn’t mean I want his films to flop, fail, or that he shouldn’t release any of his movies.’
I am ahead in Mob Frenzies queue, said Swara
“Earlier everybody thought, Swara Bhaskar is the problem. We are legitimizing a culture of authoritarianism. No one is safe from a trend of mob frenzy. I am just ahead of others in the list,” added Swara.
According to netizens, it is true that even before the Boycott Bollywood movement, Swara had been under the scope from time and now. Even though her last movie, ‘Jahan Chaar Yaar’ did not do so well on the IMDb ratings, which is 1.1 stars, according to fans she has an amazing understanding of Bollywood mechanics.
