One of the most anticipated movies of Akshay Kumar Ram Setu finally hit the theatre. The film was released on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. The film collected around 15 crores on its first day of release. According to the report of Box office India, Ram Setu showed the potential of 15 crores on its opening day, making it the 2nd best Hindi film this year. Still, Ayan Mukherji Brahmastra tops the chart. Box office India also made a statement “The collection of the film is based on the Diwali holiday. The usual trends of Bollywood go as it is on holiday.

As in the holiday, Indian cinema goes in the same fashion. “As per the performance Multiplexes were overtaken by small cinema houses and have seen a gradual decrement in the audience. The film’s real victory will be acknowledged on the non-holiday days as it is shown decent growth on day 1”- Box Office India added. Though the film got a negative response after the trailer launch film collected a decent amount. Nearly double than Akshay Kumar’s last film ‘Raksha Bandhan’ compared to the day 1 collection.

Ram Setu Synopsis

Abhishek Sharma is the director of the film. In Ram Setu, Akshay Kumar portrays the role of an atheist archaeologist ( Dr. Aryan Kulshreshtha). Who is going to find out the secrets of Ram Setu which is between Rameswaram in India and Mannar Island near Sri Lanka. It is to prove whether it is man-made or not as described in Valmiki Ramayan. Meanwhile, Jacqueline Fernandez plays the role of environmentalist (Dr.Sandra). Furthermore, Satya Dev and Nushrrat Bharuccha play a crucial role in the film.
