Dahan: Raakan Ka Rahasya is one of the newest seasons in the OTT (over-the-top) platform of Disney plus Hotstar. The web series was directed by Vikranth Pawar and Jai Sharma. The series features Veteran actor Saurabh Shukla (as Pramukh Swaroop), and Tisca Chopra (as IAS Officer Avni Raut). All the shoots of Raakan Ka Rahasya were done in the isolated town of Shilaspura in Rajasthan. Raakan Ka Rahasya is the story of ancient times when two groups fight against each other (Nikasiya and Karapali) to rule the town. Although Karapali wins the war as the demon is on their side (Raakan), it can eventually kill them. So they decided to kill Raakan. Ridhiyakan mother of Raakan cried in the jungle and give her life for the grief of his son. The story is depicting about a science vs supernatural story.
Raakan a Supernatural Thriller
The story begins in a village named Shilaspura where people believe there is demon(Raakan) who can kill the whole village. Two groups are fighting about who will rule the village. In the end, Karapali wins but the black power of Raakan is still there. The village can leave peacefully they decided to place his head inside the mountain. So the people around the village will be safe. The group which lose the war was called Nikasiya and for controlling Raakan the group was called Karapali. Furthermore for keeping him in control people worship him in a place named Silastal. In Silastal there is Pramukh Ji who protects the village from the wrath of RAAKAN.
Surprisingly at that mine where RAAKAN’s head was been hiding out. A mining corporation found a rare material that is very costly as well as can be very beneficial in the health industry. But due to the people believe it is very hard to start mining there. That’s why a strict IAS officer (Avni Raut) is appointed. Avni is already in depression due to the fact of her husband’s suicide. Avni’s job is to start the mining corporation at any cost. Faces a lot of challenges from Pramukh Ji and his team. A Veterinarian doctor find out that some bacteria from the mine removed all the fear from animals and humans. Eventually, it leads to them like zombies who are ready to eat each other.
In the end avni exposes the Pramukh ji and save the villege by destroying the mine. However the suspense was there at the last. Nobody can guess what’s the truth of the RAAKAN or is there any scientific reason.
