OTT contents cannot be watched with family : Govind Namdev

One of the loved and veteran actors of Bollywood Govind Namdev gave an opinion about the OTT(Over the top) platform. He believes that nowadays OTT content whether it’s series or movies it’s all about Nudity and Deceit. What’s more, is that he reveals he rejected several projects on different OTT platforms because of the same reason. He said, ” As there is no censor board on OTT-based series/movies usually results in most of the content being all about pornography. Furthermore, you are showing scenes that we cannot watch with the family.”. After his successful portrayal of the negative character in many films, even many filmmakers want to cast him.

Furthermore, he talked about Violence and Inhumanity scenes that become the mainstream of the Online Platform and called them “Very Disturbing”.  He shares “people cannot watch these scenes and hence skip all these parts to jump to the main story.” He thinks there should be another way or needs more creativity by the filmmaker. Such scenes should not be there all the time. But he noticed that this problem slowly and steadily reduced from the Online Platform.

Nowadays OTT become a part of everyone day to day life. According to the report after the covid pandemic, they have seen a large number of audiences shifting to online platforms.  As we are aware of the facts people are boycotting Bollywood for numerous reasons. In terms of content also they are lacking behind and just making a remake of Tollywood films. Meanwhile, on the other side, OTT is doing completely opposite every time they are showing new content. This resulted in most of the films being released on the online platform.

It has been observed that people have different opinions on the OTT Platform. Bus most of the liked it because it is cheap and easily accessible.
