James Gunn and Peter Safran, new CEOs of DC Studios

James Gunn and Peter Safran will continue to produce, develop and direct individual projects though, said the Studio after the news got viral on Twitter.

So apparently Superman and Batman have a new boss. James Gunn and Peter Safran are the new Co-Chairmen and CEOs of the DC Studios, officially confirmed by the studios. James Gunn is famous for his blockbuster series Guardians of The Galaxy with Marvel Studios. His other reviving work with DC in The Suicide Squad was remarkable. While Peter Safran on the other hand is a producer rather than a director. He produced so many hits for Warner Brothers and New Line Cinema which include The Conjuring universe, The Suicide Squad, Aquaman, and Shazam.

According to the Studios, ‘Both will continue to produce, develop and direct individual projects,’ which highlights that they can continue their ongoing work with the different studios. Such as they are currently involved with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. “We’re honored to be the stewards of these DC characters we’ve loved since we were children,” said Safran and Gunn.

While sharing this on Twitter, Gunn said, ‘Accurate. So pleased to be here.’ Even the president and CEO of the parent organization Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslav praised about the new chairmen. Zaslav said, “Their decades of experience in filmmaking, close ties to the creative community, and proven track record thrilling superhero fans around the globe make them uniquely qualified to develop a long-term strategy across film, TV, and animation, and take this iconic franchise to the next level of creative storytelling,”
