While the actor was on the red carpet for the promotion of his upcoming Enola Holms on Netflix, an interviewer asked him a pretty obvious question about his return as superman. The interviewer asked, ‘Are you emotional about your return as Superman?’ To which Henry Cavill replied, ” it’s um yes I mean to a degree it’s, of course, an emotional moment I’m not talking flights of Tears or anything but uh that character means a lot to me and the character’s been a formative part of my career so getting to wear the suit again for that Cameo especially was a powerful moment it meant that uh the Hope was not in vain I proved the theory right so we’ll see where we go from here.”

Henry Cavill confirms that he is coming back to play his favorite role as Superman in the upcoming DC movies. The actor announced it via a video on his Instagram recently. Henry said, “Hey everyone. I wanted to wait until the weekend was over before posting this. Because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch Black Adam. But now that plenty of you have, I wanted to make it official that I am back as Superman and the image you see on this post and what you saw in Black Adam are just a very small taste of things to come.”

After Henry Cavill, such a huge announcement, DC went crazy to know their ‘favorite’ superman is wearing the cape of hope again. The actor seemed charged to play his iconic role, while another superstar Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson gave a statement in which he described how he had to ‘fought for years to make Cavill wear the cape again. Dwayne Johnson tweeted: “We fought for years to bring you back. They always said no. But to @DanyGarciaCo @hhgarcia41 & myself, no was not an option. We can’t build out our DCEU without the world’s greatest superhero. And fans will always come first. Welcome home. I’ll see you down the road.”
