Dwayne Johnson ‘fought for years’ on Superman’s return in DC

Black Adam is a blockbuster. The movie is led by Dwayne Johnson as the mc ‘Black Adam’. Dwayne recently in an interview revealed that he had to ‘fight for years‘ to get Henry Cavill back as Superman in the DC franchise. Dwayne told the fans that his return was in the pipeline for years and even that we were fighting for it. Later the actor added that, without the fighting, Cavill might have never got it.

While Henry Cavill released a video from his Instagram handle. He announced that he is going to return and play his role of Superman in the upcoming DC movies. Henry initially wanted to wait more and let people finish watching the recent Dwayne Johnson starrer Black Adam. But the actor wanted to make it ‘official’. Although the actor is facing backlash since the writers and directors of the film haven’t been decided yet.

Dwayne Johnson said, ‘We fought for years to bring you back’

While on Twitter, Dwayne Johnson tweeted: “We fought for years to bring you back. They always said no. But to @DanyGarciaCo @hhgarcia41 & myself, no was not an option. We can’t build out our DCEU without the world’s greatest superhero. And fans will always come first. Welcome home. I’ll see you down the road.”

Later the actor added, “I feel that this serves not only Black Adam but it serves a larger DC Universe,” Johnson told Bounding into Comics. “But, man, more importantly than that, it takes care of the fans. And that’s what you want your lead foot to be”.  Johnson also shared an inside detail that, it took around 6 years to convince the DC bosses.

Black Adam was released on 20th October globally. The movie is based on a character from the DC comics, which is rogue and unpredictable.  The movie is action-centric and has heavy CGI. It’s getting love across the nations.
