Ajay Devgan`s film ‘Drishyam 2‘ has hit the theatres. The sequel to ‘Drishyam’, which released in the year 2015, has hit the box office as soon as it arrives. Looking at the advance booking of the film, it was estimated that the film would earn around 12 crore on the opening day. However, the film surprised everyone by doing more than expected business. Interestingly, this film by Ajay Devgan and Akshaye Khanna has become the second bigger opener of the year 2022. ‘Drishyam 2’ has become the second highest grossing film on the opening day.

According to the initial figures, ‘Drishyam 2’ has earned around Rs 15.38 crore on the opening day. Made in a budget of 50 crore, the film`s business is more than 15 crore on the firs day is considered very good. However, Ajay Devgan film failed to beat Ranbir Kapoor ‘Brahmastra’. Ayan Mukherjee film did a business of around 36 crore on the opening day. This is the reason that ‘Brahmastra’ has become the highest opener of the year 2022. Whereas, ‘Drishyam 2’ is on the second place.

By the year of 2022 it appears that not been much special for Bollywood films. Many of them released this year but failed at the box office. Aside from some of the films catch on thrives and did business of more than 10 crore on the opening day. According to the media reports, including ‘Drishyam 2’, there are 10 such films which collected more than Rs 10 crore on the very first day.
