In the OTT space, Amazon Prime Video has signed a very important agreement with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding content. The objective of this agreement will be to find and promote talent. Simultaneously, Doordarshan shows and IFFI events will also be streamed on Prime Video. On Wednesday, Amazon India announced that they have signed a letter of engagement with the ministry for this. Under this agreement, Amazon and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will create ways through various mediums to promote creativity in the country.
Moreover, it will include film and TV institutes. The letter of engagement was signed at the National Media Center in the presence of Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur. Amazon India Vice President of Public Policy Chetan Krishnamurthy, and Asia Pacific Vice President Gaurav Gandhi.
Students and artists will get opportunities
Under this letter Programs will be prepare for internships and scholarships for students. Prime Video and Amazon Mini TV, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTII).
This program will provide a hands-on working environment for the students. So that they can prepare themselves as per the expectations of the industry. In continuation of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav event. Popular content from NFDC, Doordarshan, and the International Film Festival of India will stream on Prime Video and Mini TV.
Along with this, skill development masterclasses will organized for students of various film and TV institutes. Every year 75 creative youths from across the country will search in association with IFFI. They will shortlisted and trained by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
A store will set up on Amazon. In which books from the Publications Division of MIB will be made available? Apart from this, Indian music content will promoted on Amazon Music and Alexa.
The Doordarshan agreement will reduce the struggle of artists
