Controversy over Chhello Show, FWICE said- not an Indian film, the jury should be canceled

There has been a controversy over the choice of Chhello Show as the official entry in Oscars from India. BN Tiwari said it`s a foreign film.

The film ‘Chhello Show’ has been selected for the Oscars from India. Now there is a dispute regarding its selection. The federation of Western India Cine Employees has protested against the selection of the film as the official entry for the Oscars by India. Board has Demanded from FFI to reconsider Chhello Show:

Fans of the film RRR and The Kashmir Files were trying to choose one of these two films as the official entry. The union has now demanded the Film Federation of India(FFI) to reconsider their decision. He also alleged that it is not an Indian film. This film has been released in English, whose name is ‘Last Film Show’. It is a Gujarati drama film directed by Pan Nalin. The Federation has clarified that this is the Best International Film from India.

President BN Tiwari said, ‘Chhello Show film is not an Indian film’

Chairman BN Tiwari said about this, ‘Chhello Show is not an Indian film and the process of selection of the film is wrong. Many Hindi films were worth visiting. These include names of RRR and The Kashmir Files but the jury selected a foreign film. BN Tiwari further said, ‘We want re-election and the present jury should be abolished. Half of the people are there for years and they do not watch the film. If this film is sent to Oscars it will destroy the image of India.

BN Tiwari writes complaint letter to union minister Anurag Thakur:

Tiwari also said that he is going to write a complaint letter to Information and Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur in this regard. Earlier, the film federation of India had said on the selection of Chhello Show that it was based on popularity.
