Black Adam was the second movie this year released from DC Comics. The movie is super hyped in the theatres in India and also across the globe. Now the question arises, Is the movie worth the hype? The movie is a story of a ‘Villain’, or a bad guy from the DC Universe. For those who don’t know about the origins of the character, the character keeps switching from a villain to a hero with time. This instant of the timeline showed his bad side With the subtle hints of his origins in the movie. Meanwhile, Black Adam devastates the city. Though the movie is entirely a new beginning for Dwayne Johnson’s movie, a hint of Shazam is also in the movie.

To better understand the movie, it’s best that you watch the movie Shazam before hitting the theatres. Or else, the movie is still action-centric rather than a story like DC’s last Batman starring Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Dwayne Johnson is Black Adam, not the other way around
Dwayne Johnson is famous for his amazing personality as an actor. The actor has a massive muscular body, godly aesthetics, and a humble nature. While the movie was supposed to be about characters, Dwayne hijacked the role into his own persona. If we closely look at his last movies, like Jumanji, Fast and Furious, and Welcome to the Jungle, Dwayne Johnson is very consistent with the acting methodology. In Black Adam, we see the same typical ‘The Rock’. For some Johnson fans, it’s amazing, while for the comic nerds it’s annoying.
The movie is about the capture of Black Adam via the Justice Society Of America [ JSA ]. Adam goes rogue in the movie, while other superheroes try to stop him, now whether they are successful in stopping him or not, you will have to watch the movie for it. The movie pushes its boundaries of PG-13 guidelines, violence and bloodshed are prominent in the movie.
Verdict
Jaume Collet-Serra‘s Black Adam is an action-packed movie. BGM is amazing and impactful, with gorgeous VFX, the movie feels natural. The movie is a treat for action lovers as well as people who like Dwayne Johnson. The movie almost resembles the comic, which is also great for the readers.
