Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Sobhita Dhulipala feature in the Indian version of The Night Manager. Which has just released its teaser on Hotstar. The Indian Night Manager, based on the popular British spy series of the same name. It will be published on February 17th. Just one week after Shahid Kapoor’s Prime Video series Farzi. It stars Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. Also featuring Sobhita Dhulipala and Tillotama Shome.

Anil Kapoor will assume Laurie’s part as arms dealer Richard “Dicky” Roper (known as Shelly Rungta in the Indian adaptation), while Aditya will take on Hiddleston’s former role as Night Manager Jonathan Pine. In the Indian adaptation, the character is known as Shaan. Aditya’s character, who is lost in the middle of a snowy mountainous area, speaks of going into the “depths of darkness” in the trailer’s opening moments. We next switch to the cigar-smoking Shelly, who claims that he will never be apprehended by Indian law enforcement.

Yet they have a strategy. Shaan, whom Tillotama Shome’s character refers to as the “Vibhishan” who will demolish Shelly’s Lanka, is summoned. He is instructed to pretend to be the hotel’s night manager in order to gain Shelly’s trust. And so the game of cat and mouse starts, with both players caught in a web of deceit and falsehoods. Adiya previously stated: I have always wanted to portray a multi-layered character in a series with a complicated narrative arc, and when the platform asked me to play the title part in The Night Manager, I knew this was precisely the one I’d been looking for.”

Through its agreement with BBC, Hotstar has ordered a number of remakes. The Office, Luther, and Criminal Justice Indian adaptations are a few of these. Anil Kapoor recently starred in Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Thar and will soon be seen in the action movie Fighter. Aditya was most recently seen in the critically and commercially unsuccessful action film Rashtra Kavach Om. Sobhita played a supporting role in Ponniyin Selvan: I and will soon be seen in the second season of Prime Video’s Made in Heaven.

 

Sussanna Bier directed the first Night Manager, which was adapted from a John le Carré book. Three Golden Globe awards were given to it during its six-episode run. In the Indian adaptation, which also features Tillotama Shome, Saswata Chatterjee, and Ravi Behl, Sandeep Modi is the creator and co-director alongside Priyanka Ghosh.
