During a conversation at the Red Sea International Film Festival. Akshay asked by a Pakistani man about the film ‘Bell Bottom’. He said, ”I am from Pakistan, from your neighboring country. I have a request to you, you have made wonderful films like ‘Pad Man’ and ‘Toilet’. There is a dispute going on between India and Pakistan as well, but in your film ‘Bell Bottom’ Pakistan was wrongly shown. In response, Akshay said, ”Sir, it is just a film. Don`t be so serious about it. There are many such things in it and it is just a film, sir’.
What is the film ‘Bell Bottom’ about
The film ‘Bell Bottom’ was directed by Ranjit Tiwari. The film based on the attempt to rescue passengers after the hijacking of an Indian Airlines jet. However, the film was released in theatres in 2021. The film depicts the 1980s. Akshay played the role of an Indian secret agent in the film. However, the film was also banned in countries like Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The film starred Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta and also Vaani Kapoor in lead roles.
