Akshay Kumar in the role of Gorkha Most Fearless Regiment

Gorkha will hit the theatre on March 2023 starrer Akshay Kumar will be directed by Aanand L Rai.  This is the third film Actor and Director collaborated. Previous Atrangi re and Raksha Bandhan are the movies they did together. Although the film not performed well in terms of money. Aanand L Rai who is well known for Romantic-comedy films but in this situation, he is ready to experiment.  Gorkha is the biopic of Major General Ian Cardozo (who was in the 5th Gorkha Rifles) who fought many battles in his life. let me tell you he was in the Bangladesh-Pakistani War of 1971. Gorkha Regiment or Most Fearless Regiment  are well known for their courage in the battlefield.  This is an infantry Regiment which used Bharitya Nepali and was first used in Sikh Army. As a result for their courage British East Company decided to add them in the main army as King’s/Queen’s Gurkha Officers (KGO/QGO). Sam Manekshaw (Who is in 8th Gorkha rifles) make a statement about Gorkha Regiment that “If anybody says he is not afraid of death, he is either lying or he is a Gorkha.”

Detailing of the film

According to the reports makers are trying hard to look more authentic about the war scenes. Not like previously movies who shows the different image of ther army. Only few movies are there who left a significant impact on the audience like Border and Lakshya. Makers not only in talks with the main character but with different character who involves around the main character.  It will be interesting to see how the audience react to the movie with so much detailing in it. Akshay Kumar having a rough time at the box office.  Akshay knows for his experimenting with character in different movies.
