After Kartik Aaryan’s Freddy, this week comes Vicky Kaushal’s Govinda Mera Naam on Disney Plus Hotstar. While Freddy was a dark thriller, Govinda Naam Mera is a comedy thriller film. However, along with thrillers, it also contains elements of con films. Directed by Shashank Khaitan.

Shashank, who has directed Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Dhadak for Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, has tried his hand at a comedy thriller for the first time. He has also appeared in a small role of a builder in the film. Shashank did not put many minds into writing the story of Govinda Naam Mera. The characters have taken from inside the film industry.

The film Govinda Naam Mera begins with Govinda’s dream. In which he trying to be strange with Suku, but woken up by his wife’s kick and get hurt in reality. Govinda Naam Mera is an average film on the writing front. Punches appear to be crammed into the dialogue. However, an attempt has made to master writing through acting. The music of the film is mediocre. The rap-style Puppy song sounds fine.
